Oleta Yarbrough

Oleta Irene Yarbrough, lovingly known as “Aunt Leat”, passed away on April 15, 2024 in Heber Springs, Arkansas, at the age of 94. She was born on April 29, 1929, in Searcy (Crosby), Arkansas. Oleta was a kind and generous soul who cherished her nieces and nephews as her own children. She took immense pride in her numerous great-great nieces and nephews.

Oleta was preceded in death by her parents, Flossie and Charlie Levi Yarbrough, her sisters, Mildred Fisher and LaVerne Brown, and her brothers, Vindell Yarbrough, Phil Yarbrough, Calvin “Tuffy” Yarbrough, and Charles "Buddy" Yarbrough. 

She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Tanya Herndon of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and Bridgett Acker of Sumter, South Carolina.

A visitation will be held on April 21, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett, Arkansas. A graveside service will be held on April 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Rest Hills Cemetery in Sherwood, Arkansas.

Aunt Leat’s warm and giving nature will be dearly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
